Simmons & Simmons Scholarship
for access to the legal profession

The prestigious international law firm Simmons & Simmons will grant a scholarship for the study of the master’s degree of access to the practice of law at ISDE to a candidate selected according to merit and economic need criteria. This student, in addition, will carry out in this firm the internships for the master’s degree.

This scholarship will cover the total cost of the master’s degree and in order to be eligible for it any student must first pass the admission process of the master’s degree for access to the practice of law, for which the following documentation must be submitted to ISDE: 

 – Curriculum vitae.

 – Academic record of the career.

– Copy of the title (if you already have one).

– Motivation letter.

– At least one letter of recommendation

 – In case of a first positive evaluation by the admissions committee, the candidate must also take the written tests and the personal interview, which are customary in ISDE’s admission process. 

At the same time, the candidate must begin the application process for the Simmons & Simmons scholarship, which will be awarded on the basis of merit and need and will be evaluated:

 Merit:

– Average grade of your undergraduate or graduate studies.

– Knowledge of languages.

– Related professional experience or internships.

– Other related studies. 

 Financial need:

– Displacement from the place of origin.

– Large family.

– Disability.

– Others (particular economic needs that the applicant wishes to raise). 

It is important to note that everything that the candidate states, must be supported by documentation to prove it. For example, if the candidate has a C1 degree in English, he/she should send a copy of this degree or if he/she belongs to a large family, a copy of the degree that proves it.  It will be particularly important to send documents proving the personal and/or family financial situation, which would make it impossible for the candidate to access the study of this master’s degree, without the help of the Simmons & Simmons scholarship. 

The deadline for receipt of nominations will be April 21, 2024.

The scholarship fund allocated to a program is always distributed prior to the start of the program and until the fund is exhausted. Therefore, it is not possible to apply for a scholarship once the program has begun.
