Montse Pinto Sala<\/a>, Director of ISDE Barcelona, together with Javier Latorre Mart\u00ednez<\/a>, co-director of the conference, and\u00a0Miguel \u00c1ngel Vaquero Infantes<\/a>, President of the Spanish Sports Law Association (AEDD), inaugurated in Barcelona the conference \u00abCurrent Legal and Sports Issues\u00bb, organized by ISDE and the AEDD\u2014an event that emphasized the importance and relevance of Sports Law today.<\/p>\n

The first round table, \u00abLegal Framework of Professional Football\u00bb, moderated by Montse Pint\u00f3 Sala, featured Javier Rodr\u00edguez Ten, lawyer and former Director of Administrative and Sports Law at LALIGA<\/a> and professor at Universidad San Jorge<\/a>; Jos\u00e9 Luis P\u00e9rez Trivi\u00f1o, Professor of Philosophy of Law; and Jorge de Amilibia<\/a>, specialist in sports integrity.<\/p>\n

The second round table, \u00abLegal-Sports Conflicts in Latin America\u00bb, moderated by Antonio Mill\u00e1n Garrido, Honorary President of the AEDD, brought together Sandra Echeverry Vel\u00e1squez<\/a>, lawyer and former elite athlete;\u00a0Jos\u00e9 Emilio Jozami Delibasich<\/a>, former judge of the AFA Sports Disciplinary Tribunal; and Guillermo Pena Fern\u00e1ndez, Executive Secretary of the Uruguayan Football Association.<\/p>\n

In addition, the tribute book to Professor Antonio Mill\u00e1n Garrido, \u00abSports Law Studies in Latin America\u00bb, was presented, with the participation of Jos\u00e9 Esteve Pardo, Professor; Ignacio Jim\u00e9nez Soto, editor of the work; and Antonio Mill\u00e1n Garrido himself, highlighting its academic significance and its contribution to the comparative study of Sports Law.<\/p>\n
