Master’s Degree in Labor Law, Socio-Labor Compliance and New Technologies

Program director:

Fernando Vizcaíno de Sas

Campus:

Madrid

Date:

September

LANGUAGE:

English

Labor Law does not begin when you are hired.

It begins when you know what to do the first time a problem is put on your desk.

In labor law, cases don’t arrive for you to “think them over calmly.” They come as dismissals with deadlines, sanctions that must be handled correctly the first time, unannounced inspections, and decisions that directly impact companies and employees.

The problem, when you start, is not whether you know the law or not. It’s not knowing what to review first, what to write, and which steps to take to avoid failing at the basics.

This master’s degree is designed so that this moment is not the first time you see how labor law actually works.

Introduction and objectives

In Labor Law, mistakes become apparent quickly.

And then they linger: poorly drafted documents, lost proceedings, and decisions that can no longer be corrected.

The objective of the program is very clear: to enable you to handle a real labor law matter with structure, legal judgment, and practical sense from the very beginning.

In short, so that you know how to act when dealing with:

  • Dismissals
  • Disciplinary sanctions
  • Labor claims
  • Collective bargaining
  • Labor inspections
  • Situations with deadlines and consequences

La formación no busca que “te suene” el Derecho Laboral. Busca que sepas moverte cuando te asignan un asunto y te dicen “revísalo”.

Structure, location and calendar

CAMPUS: Madrid

DURATION: One academic year.

STRUCTURE

  • Two phases:

First phase: Classroom instruction:

    • One academic semester
    • Classes from Monday to Thursday in the afternoon. Some mornings each week, students will attend conferences and practical sessions at ISDE’s partner law firms and institutions.

Second phase: Internship placement:

    • Between three and six months of placement in law firms or legal departments of large partner companies of ISDE (more than 300), both nationally and internationally.

This Master’s Degree in Labor Law combines legal training, practical experience, and professional context.

You work with the real logic of labor law practice.

During the master’s program:

  • You analyze real labor documentation
  • You develop procedural strategies
  • You practice drafting labor law documents
  • You understand the lawyer-client relationship in labor disputes
  • You learn how a labor advisory firm, a law firm, and an HR department operate

The goal is not just for you to understand the subject. It is that when you face your first labor law case, it won’t be the first time you see how it’s done.

04 .

Career Opportunities

The Master’s Degree in Labor Law and Socio-Labor Compliance is aimed at careers in:

  • Specialized labor law firms
  • Labor advisory and legal consulting firms
  • Human resources departments
  • Labor relations departments
  • Business environments with socio-labor compliance

The goal is that, from day one, you know what to do in your job.

Those who start without knowing the work need months to adapt.

Those who have already worked with the logic of labor law can add value from the very first day.

ACCREDITED DEGREE

Once the program has been completed and successful achievement has been accredited, the student will obtain the ISDE Master’s Degree in Labor Law and Socio-Labor Compliance (own degree).

In compliance with current legislation and, specifically, as established in Article 4.4 of Decree 84/2004, it is hereby stated that ISDE programs have a professional orientation and, unless explicitly stated otherwise, do not lead to an officially recognized degree, but rather to an ISDE own degree.

The degree certifies your training, but what truly matters is something else: that when your first labor proceeding arises, you do not have to start by learning how it works.

Request information and we will explain the training pathway and the real student experience throughout the master’s program.
