Montse Pinto Sala, Director of ISDE Barcelona, participated in the event “Philanthropy and Social Action: Taxation and Good Governance as Levers of Impact,” organized by Andersen in Spain in collaboration with the “la Caixa” Foundation at the CosmoCaixa Science Museum in Barcelona.
The event began with a presentation by Juan Ignacio Alonso Dregi, Partner and Director of Andersen’s Barcelona office, and Fernando de Rasche Santaolalla, Counsel at Andersen in Spain. Roundtable I, focusing on public aid and tax incentives in philanthropy, was moderated by JosĂ© Ignacio Parellada and featured Alicia Sáez LavĂn, Pablo Morillo PĂ©rez, Juan Roda Moreno, and Ana Ăšbeda Hernández. Roundtable II, centered on good governance and philanthropic activities, was moderated by Iolanda Latorre and included Eugenia Bieto, Ă€ngel Font Vidal, XosĂ©-Carlos Fernández, and Pablo Alvarez de Linera Granda.
The event brought together experts from the legal, institutional, and nonprofit sectors to discuss how taxation, incentives, and good governance practices contribute to maximizing the social impact of foundations and nonprofit organizations.
