From receiving the Best Young Lawyer Award to sharing his experience with our students. ⚖️🎓
At ISDE, we had the pleasure of welcoming Guillermo del Río, partner at Uría Menéndez, who was recognised with the Best Young Lawyer Award at the 4th edition of the El Confidencial Business Law Awards. This new award, promoted by ISDE, aims to recognise emerging talent and the future of the legal profession.
During a session moderated by Carlos García-León, Managing Partner at Legal Reputation, and opened by our CEO, Juan José Sánchez Puig, Guillermo shared his career journey, the lessons he has learned and his perspective on the present and future of the legal profession.
Guillermo highlighted what it really takes to build a successful career in law: the importance of hard work and technical excellence, but also the opportunities that arise, the people you meet along the way and the ability to learn from your mistakes.
He also shared his insights into the skills that make a difference beyond legal expertise, how the profession is evolving with the rise of artificial intelligence, and some valuable advice for those taking their first steps and beginning to shape their own careers.
It was an excellent opportunity for our students to connect with professionals who are helping shape the future of the legal profession and to learn directly from their experience.
