📍 IURIS SPAIN Congress of Rey Juan Carlos University
Juan José Sánchez Puig, CEO of ISDE, had the honor of participating in the roundtable “Comprehensive Legal Training: Challenges and Opportunities in Today’s Job Market,” organized by Iuris España – URJC. This important space for dialogue offered a valuable opportunity to reflect on the future of the legal profession and public service.
Juan José Sánchez Puig shared his perspective on the role of universities in preparing the legal leaders of tomorrow, alongside distinguished figures such as Matilde García Duarte, President of the National Association of Large Retail Companies (ANGED); Ana Belén Martínez Enguídanos, Director General of the General Council of Court Representatives and co-founder of WLW | Women in a Legal World; and Dr. Luis Romero Santos, criminal lawyer.
On this occasion, Juan José Sánchez Puig emphasized the importance of connecting legal education with the real labor market. “A good lawyer must first know the law. Then come soft skills, languages, and technology. But technical knowledge is essential,” he stated.
According to him, educational institutions must act as bridges between academia and the professional world, forming legal professionals with a global mindset, strong listening skills, and ethical judgment. “Honesty is profitable: it helps you earn trust, clients… and preserve your integrity.”
It was an enriching conversation about law, the market, and vocation, moderated by journalist Carlos Berbell, Director of CONFILEGAL.
At ISDE, we advocate for legal training that is excellent, value-driven, practice-oriented, and aligned with the real needs of the market. Because law, properly understood, is a tool to transform society.
Thank you to Iuris España for creating this space for reflection between young people and professionals.
