Montse Pinto Sala, Director of ISDE Barcelona, together with Javier Latorre Martínez, co-director of the conference, and Miguel Ángel Vaquero Infantes, President of the Spanish Sports Law Association (AEDD), inaugurated in Barcelona the conference «Current Legal and Sports Issues», organized by ISDE and the AEDD—an event that emphasized the importance and relevance of Sports Law today.
The first round table, «Legal Framework of Professional Football», moderated by Montse Pintó Sala, featured Javier Rodríguez Ten, lawyer and former Director of Administrative and Sports Law at LALIGA and professor at Universidad San Jorge; José Luis Pérez Triviño, Professor of Philosophy of Law; and Jorge de Amilibia, specialist in sports integrity.
The second round table, «Legal-Sports Conflicts in Latin America», moderated by Antonio Millán Garrido, Honorary President of the AEDD, brought together Sandra Echeverry Velásquez, lawyer and former elite athlete; José Emilio Jozami Delibasich, former judge of the AFA Sports Disciplinary Tribunal; and Guillermo Pena Fernández, Executive Secretary of the Uruguayan Football Association.
In addition, the tribute book to Professor Antonio Millán Garrido, «Sports Law Studies in Latin America», was presented, with the participation of José Esteve Pardo, Professor; Ignacio Jiménez Soto, editor of the work; and Antonio Millán Garrido himself, highlighting its academic significance and its contribution to the comparative study of Sports Law.
The event reinforced ISDE’s commitment to excellence in education and to creating a space where specialists in sports law can exchange experiences and analyze key trends in the sector.
