We have had the honor of celebrating the 13th edition of the National Biotechnology Award, an event that reaffirms the sector鈥檚 commitment to scientific excellence, innovation, and the social impact of research.
At ISDE, the organization sponsoring this award for the seventh consecutive year, we continue to strongly support initiatives that recognize talent and leadership in biotechnology, one of the strategic fields for the future of our country.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Cristina L贸pez, Director of Programs at ISDE, who highlighted the significance of this award as the most important in the sector in Spain.
Next, Mart铆n Hern谩ndez-Palacios Mart铆n-Neda provided context on the origin and trajectory of the award, emphasizing its role within the scientific and biotechnological ecosystem.
The reading of the jury鈥檚 report, on behalf of聽ALPHABIOTECLEGAL 路 Experts in Law + Biotechnology,聽led to one of the most notable moments of the event: the presentation of the award, carried out by Enrique de Ocio Segovia, Director of Marketing, Communication, and Institutional Relations at ISDE, to Mr. Fernando Pel谩ez, Director of the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO), in recognition of his outstanding career and contribution to oncology research.
The聽laudatio, delivered by Jesus Perez Gil, Professor of Biochemistry at the Complutense University of Madrid and President of the College of Biologists, highlighted both the scientific and human dimensions of the awardee, before his closing remarks.
