Introduction and objectives

Become a professional capable of leading the identification, protection, monetization, and defense of the intangible assets that drive innovation and business competitiveness. In collaboration with PONS Business School and ISDE, this Master in Industrial and Intellectual Property, Competition and New Technologies prepares you to tackle the technical, strategic, and legal challenges of today’s digital environment, combining a solid foundation in law, technology, and business with an international and practical perspective.

Furthermore, it equips you to take on the role of a business partner in multinational settings, adding value through the comprehensive management of Industrial and Intellectual Property (IP). You will learn from top international professionals who share their experience in leading companies, law firms, and international organizations, providing you with a realistic and in-depth view of the market.

The program places special emphasis on competitive intelligence, leveraging PONS IP’s long-standing expertise as an international leader in industrial and intellectual property for over 70 years. Additionally, you will explore the new rights and opportunities arising from the Internet and Information Technologies, as well as the systems for protecting intangible rights at the national, European, and international levels. The curriculum also addresses the relationship between industrial property, competition law, and advertising regulations.

Structure, location and calendar

CAMPUS: Madrid (Spanish) and Barcelona (English)

DURATION: One academic course, with three start windows throughout the year: September, February, and May

STRUCTURE

Two phases:

  • Phase one: Classroom instruction:
    • A full academic course.
    • Classes from Monday to Thursday, in the afternoon.
    • Some mornings per week students will attend conferences and practical sessions in offices and institutions collaborating with ISDE, with offices in the city of Madrid and/or Barcelona.
    • Fridays will be dedicated to personal study, group work and workshops.
  • Second phase: Mandatory internships lasting between 3 and 6 months in law firms or legal departments of large companies collaborating with PONS and ISDE (over 250), both nationally and internationally.

MODALITIES:

  • On-campus: classroom-based classes (program in the process of CUALIFICAM certification)
  • Blended: combines on-campus sessions and streaming classes
  • Streaming: live classes accessible from any device.

    Trademarks, Competition, and Advertising – Module 3 (10 ECTS)

    Acquire the knowledge needed to protect a trademark and manage a portfolio of trademarks, as well as the rules on free competition, unfair competition, and commercial advertising.

    Understand the legal framework for the protection and delimitation of data protection and intellectual property, and delve into each sector of the cultural and entertainment industries.

ACCREDITED DEGREE

Once the relevant Program has concluded and ISDE has verified that the STUDENT has completed their work satisfactorily, the STUDENT will receive the corresponding Degree certificate for each PROGRAM.

In compliance with current legality and, specifically, as set forth in article 4.4 of decree 84/2004, it is noted that ISDE’s programs are professionally oriented and therefore, unless explicitly stated otherwise, they are courses that do not lead to the acquisition of a title with official value, but to that of a proprietary title from ISDE.
