ISDE will collaborate with the upcoming “Mediation for Sports Disputes. Turning Adversaries into Teammates”, which will take place on 11-13 January, 2018 at the headquarters of Abreu Advogados, at Av. Infante D. Henrique, 26, Lisbon, Portugal
This seminar, has been organized by the Mediation and Conflict Prevention and the Sports Law Commissions of the UIA (Union Internationale des Avocats) with the support of the Portuguese Bar Association, the Iberian Lawyer as media partner and ISDE as the academic supporter.
During these intensive 2 days and a half, top mediation and sports specialists will discuss the growing importance of mediation for sports disputes, showing why and how mediation should be utilized by pro sports to resolve conflicts in a fast and efficient way, especially aimed at conflicts concerning contract-related disputes, from a practical point of view.
Moreover, participants will be able to witness first-hand how mediation can play out in a sports dispute context, guided by these top professionals.
