We are thrilled to announce the outstanding participation of our students Nerea Quintana Mallabaeva and Bárbara Bada Barrena in the first legal debate of the Spanish University Debate League (LEDU) “Ledu de IURE 2024”. Chosen to represent ISDE, Nerea and Barbara demonstrated exceptional skill and depth in their arguments.
The debate focused on a crucial question for the rule of law in Spain: Is the current appointment system of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) coherent in safeguarding judicial independence? This vital issue was explored with rigor and insight by our participants.
Our involvement in events like this underscores ISDE’s commitment to high-quality legal education and the promotion of a deep understanding of current legal dynamics. Nerea and Barbara not only carried the ISDE flag with honor but also contributed to the debate with innovative perspectives that reflect the preparation and quality of education they receive.
