Hymie Elhai is in his 16th season with the Jets and first as senior vice president, business affairs and general counsel. He was elevated to this position after three years as a vice president with the club.
Elhai is responsible for overseeing and advising on all legal matters involving the business operations of the New York Jets including team sponsorship, licensing, events, new media, production, broadcasting and employment related issues. Additionally, he ensures team compliance with current NFL regulations and policies.
In his role, Elhai also consults on various matters related to the football administration of the team, oversees the Human Resources and Community Relations departments, and is involved in the strategic planning and legal affairs for MetLife Stadium.
A graduate of the Rutgers University School of Law Newark and The Johns Hopkins University, where he played football and baseball, Elhai was hired full-time with the Jets in 2002 as the manager of legal affairs and business development after beginning his career with the club as an intern in the summer of 2000. Elhai, currently resides in Hoboken, NJ.
