Head of Legal at UK Sport
Vijay is the Head of Legal at UK Sport, where he manages all legal aspects of investment into Olympic and Paralympic Sports and Athletes and bidding and hosting sports events including governance, commercial partnerships and regulatory matters. Recently he has been involved in the implementation of ‘A Code for Sports Governance’ in the UK, a number of athlete welfare issues covering both current and historic claims.
He is also an English Football Association registered Intermediary. He has read both a Masters and Post Graduate Certificate in International Sports Law from Anglia University and King’s College London which at the time (1990’s) were the only academic courses being run in the sector. He is married with two children, speaks 4 languages and spends his spare time climbing, swimming and running.
