On January 9, 2023, at the Barcelona International Gaming Center (BIG-C) headquarters, the opening ceremony of the V edition of the Master in International Esports Business took place in Barcelona. It is one of the most prestigious face-to-face master’s degrees internationally, as well as a bet on success, due to its exponential growth from year to year.
This year’s promotion is made up of students who have had the opportunity to choose between face-to-face, online, and streaming formats, coming from more than 8 nationalities. An international character that supposes an added value, due to the possibility that it will offer students to enrich themselves culturally and to weave a network of relationships for their professional future.
The opening ceremony was chaired by the Director of ISDE Barcelona, Ms. Montse Pinto Sala, the academic directors of the master, Ms. Helena Perelló and Mr. Jean Sebastien Ventura; Ms. Claudia Suvero, CEO of BIG-C and Mr. Arturo Marroquin Fernandez de Castro, Academic Coordinator of the master.
The eSports industry generates more than 900 million euros annually, being an ecosystem that does not stop growing as a new business model, surpassing that of ‘traditional’ sports.
