Jane’s current role at UK Sport is to ensure that the national sports governing bodies in which UK Sport invests operate to robust governance standards. She led for UK Sport on the drafting, with Sport England, of A Code for Sports Governance, compliance with which is mandatory for all sports organisations who wish to receiving public funding.
Prior to this she worked for 14 years at the highest levels of professional English football: former club secretary at Sunderland AFC and then as the Company Secretary and Director of Governance at the Premier League.
