Pilgrim is a co-founder of a sport consulting agency, Precise Advisory Group, and is principal in Pilgrim & Associates law firm. She has built a national reputation as a prominent business, sports and alternative dispute resolution attorney and consultant.
Ms. Pilgrim served as the general counsel for the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and for USA Track & Field (USATF), national governing body for the Olympic sport in the U.S. In both organizations, Pilgrim rendered legal advice and handled matters ranging from corporate governance, dispute resolution, policy matters, protecting intellectual property rights, contractual relationships, agent regulation, member services and eligibility. During the infamous Congressional Steroid Hearings” in 2005, Pilgrim authored USATF’s well-received report on the history of its pioneering anti-doping programs. She also utilized her many years of Olympic sport drug testing expertise to assist the LPGA with the design and launch of professional golf’s first player drug-testing program in 2008.
Pilgrim is a highly sought after neutral in alternative dispute resolution matters. She serves on the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Committee on Infractions; the body that presides over administrative hearings related to allegations of NCAA rules violations. In 2015 she was appointed as a hearing officer for the New York State Gaming Commission.
Ms. Pilgrim teaches International and Comparative Sports Law.
