The President of the chairing a Conference organised by ISDE in Madrid

Mino Auletta, President of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) chaired the event organized by ISDE and the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM), to present the institution that he represents ‘Tribunal Arbitral du Sport – Court of Arbitration for Sport’.

Mino Auletta is the President of an Institution that looks for the excellence by solving disputes quickly and by offering to the clients specialized Arbitrators in any sport. In 2008, the CAS reached the record by solving 318 cases. 60% of the arbitrations are related to the football, 30% are associated to doping and the remaining ones are linked to competence, legitimacy and nationality.

The President of the CAS also said to IUSPORT, in relation to the history and future of the institution, that ‘Juan Antonio Samaranch was the main precursor on the foundation of the TAS’. He also added up that ‘Currently, this organization is accepted everywhere and he reminded the high number of cases solved by them during 2008’.

After the event, the speakers had lunch along with Alejandro Blanco, President of the Spanish Olympic Committee, Juan José Sánchez Puig, Managing Director of ISDE, José Juan Pintó, CEO of Pintó Ruiz, Lucas Ferrer, Attorney-at-Law. TAS Legal Adviser and José María Alonso, President of the Court of Arbitration of the Madrid Bar Association.
