John Cassidy is the President / Co-Founder at King & Union, based in Alexandria, VA. King & Union is currently working with companies and the Government to spread adoption of the Avalon platform to improve cyber threat analysis, collaboration, and information sharing within and across organizational interest groups. Avalon provides collective cyber threat teams with one place to separate the signals from the noise and help make informed risk and business decisions.
John is a cyber security and telecom business executive with over eighteen years of industry experience developing, marketing, and building technical security services portfolios focused on key information sharing efforts. These efforts have provided custom security services to support key Federal Government and corporate cyber security initiatives.
A key focus area of John’s work continues to be advancing the adoption and development of key cyber security information sharing initiatives for Federal Departments/Agencies and U.S. Critical Infrastructure, to better protect our Nation’s intellectual property, investments, and overall information security posture.
Mr. Cassidy holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Information Systems from the George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business from James Madison University.
He is a member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), DC Chapter. Mr. Cassidy is also a member of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA), and a participating committee member on the Cyber Task Force.
